Drafted by the Houston Astros in the 26th round of the 2009 MLB First-Year Player Draft ... batted .446 with nine homers and 30 RBI as a senior ... played in the Florida All-Star Game ... earned all-state honors at Deering (Maine) as a junior and led the Rams to the Class A State Championship.
