Matt Lederhos, born May 5, 1981 … played for the NECBL 2000 summer league champion Keene Swamp Bats with BC teammate Jeff Mackor … Matt was one of the playoffs’ batting leaders with .333 average in 18 at bats.

AS A SOPHOMORE: Totaled a 3-3 record with a 4.90 ERA ... amassed 64 strikeouts on the season; his 39 K’s in league action ranked eighth in final league statistics ... caught a team-best 24 batters looking ... struck out eight batters in 6.1 innings in BC’s 7-6 win over no. 2 Notre Dame (May 13) while also hitting a home run in that game ... in 9.0 innings, surrendered two earned runs on six hits with eight strikeouts in a no decision with Seton Hall (May 6)... allowed only three hits and one unearned run in BC’s 4-1 victory over Dartmouth (April 17) ... paced BC to the 8-6 win at Georgetown (March 25), allowing three runs on five hits in 7.0 innings ... in 12.0 innings, collected a 1.50 ERA in Florida ... pitched a three-hitter in 6.0 innings and threw a career-high 11 strikeouts to earn the win vs. Buffalo (March 6) ... gave up one earned run in 6.0 innings of work against LaSalle ... offensively, hit .271 on the year ... went 2-for-4 with three RBIs vs. Brown (April 5) ... was 5-for-13 with two runs scored and three RBIs in the three-game series with Seton Hall ... homered twice in the doubleheader vs. Villanova (April 28) ... had eight multiple-hit games.

BEFORE BC: Drafted by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the 37th round … was a four-time All-Tri Valley League and area all-star … selected two-time league MVP and team MVP … was the 1999 Daily Transcript Player of the Year … named to the Boston Globe and Boston Herald All-Scholastic Team… batted .600 in 1999 with eight home runs and 32 RBIs … helped Westwood to a league title as a junior, when he batted .487 with five home runs and 29 RBIs.
