AS A FRESHMAN: Allowed only one hit in 3.0 innings of scoreless relief vs. UConn April 14 ... threw 3.0 innings with a career-high five strikeouts for a save vs. Monmouth (March 9).

BEFORE BC: Played four years of varsity baseball at Salem High School under Head Coach Bill Mignault … served as captain his junior and senior seasons … named MVP his last three seasons and was entered into the Hall of Fame.

PERSONAL: Enrolled in the School of Arts and Sciences … a fine student-athlete, Mike is a member of the National Honor Society member … also captained his golf squad the last two years of high school … won the Northeast Conference golf championship in 1998 … received MVP golf honors all four years of high school … named to the golf Hall of Fame … was honored with the Coach’s Award in 1997 for basketball … Mike is the younger of Susan and James’ two sons.
