BEFORE BC: Earned all-state baseball honors as a senior … named the Christian Brothers’ Academic Athlete in 1999 … as a sophomore, threw a one-hitter and no-hitter … was a three-time all-area pick … hurled 106 strikeouts in 48 innings while batting .480 his senior season … pitched a shutout in the Pony World Series victory over North Carolina.
