AS A SOPHOMORE: Named to the 2000 BIG EAST Academic All-Star team for the second-consecutive season … made 35 appearances with 17 starts … was 30-for-78 with 16 runs batted in; eleven of those hits were for extra bases (five doubles, one triple, five home runs) … enjoyed nine multiple-hit games and four multiple-RBI contests … was 4-for-5 in BC’s 13-6 victory over College of Charleston (February 12) … went 3-for-5 with three runs scored against Georgetown (April 30) … was 2-for-4 with four runs scored and three RBIs in the second game of the series with the Hoyas (April 29) … keyed two victories over Villanova, hitting a two-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to snap a 3-3 tie and lift BC 5-3 over the Wildcats in game one (April 1) … registered a two-run single to give the Eagles an 8-5 advantage in its last at bat … hit a pinch-hit home run to get the Eagles within one of Seton Hall (6-5) at the BIG EAST Tournament’s semifinal game … his double drove in McCarthy to give BC a 1-0 lead over the Red Sox (March 3).
AS A FRESHMAN: Appeared in 12 games, including three starts … was 4-for-13 on the season, good for a .308 batting average ... collected his home run as a collegian against Holy Cross (April 20) ... went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored against Milwaukee College of Engineering (March 3) ... doubled in and scored a run against Saginaw Valley State (March 6).
BEFORE BC: Earned All-Merrimack Valley and Lowell Sun all-star honors two years at Lowell High School … earned Outstanding Male Athlete at Lowell High School his senior year (1998) … batted .400 all three years at the varsity level for coach George Cuhna.
