AS A FRESHMAN (2004)
Appeared in 10 games...led all freshmen with 24.1 innings of work...averaged nearly a strikeout per inning, fanning 22 batters...made collegiate debut with 4.1 innings of scoreless relief in a 10-1 loss to La Salle on March 2, striking out six and surrendering just two hits...allowed just two earned runs in first five appearances, a span of 11.2 innings...worked 2.1 innings to close out a 3-2 win over Harvard, earning his first collegiate save...earned first victory with 4.1 innings of relief in an 11-6 win over Harvard four days later in the Beanpot Tournament...threw four innings of scoreless ball against Maine on May 19.
Played for Coach Tom O'Grady at Lexington High School where he earned All-Middlesex League honors as a pitcher his senior year...also served as team captain...named a Middlesex League All-Star his junior year...also captained Lexington's golf team in 2003.
