You Get Out What You Put In
Aug. 21, 2014
When you attend a BC sporting event, it's easy to get caught up in the action and forget about all the things that happen off the field that impact the final result.
Today, we thank you for the gifts that helped prepare our teams for victory. Because of your generosity, the Athletics Department is able to purchase the latest film equipment, increase recruiting budgets, hire a staff nutritionist and so much more. These types of improvements provide BC with a competitive advantage on the field and help attract top-tier athletes and coaches.
What performance nutritionist Sheila Tucker is saying: "It is an absolute honor to be part of the BC Athletics team. I am fortunate to be able to share my knowledge about the science of nutrition and positively impact our student-athletes. Proper nutrition is central to enhancing performance both on the field and in the classroom. Thank you to the donors who make this possible!"
What coaches are saying: "As a head coach in the ACC, I know how crucial it is for our student-athletes to receive the support they need on and off the playing field. Our student-athletes and our staff are fortunate to receive guidance and education from a performance nutritionist at Boston College. Thank you to the donors who support BC athletics and in-turn make our teams stronger!" -Alison Foley, head women's soccer coach
Boston College believes in the Jesuit tradition of cura personalis--care of the whole person. Thanks to your generosity, we are able to fulfill that ideal by fostering our student-athletes' minds and bodies.
