The Boston College ski team recently voted on their two captains for the 2012-2013 season: Kelly Burgart and Jimmy Campbell. The team nomination attests to the leadership qualities that both individuals demonstrate both on and off of the mountain.
Burgart finished the season as the top-scoring Eagle, with 102 team EISA points. She highlighted her season with a first-place finish in the UConn Carnival Slalom at Jiminy Peak, a USSA race. In the Eagles' first season in the EISA, Burgart managed a 34th place finish at the Williams Carnvial. Burgart is a biology major from Honeoye Falls, N.Y. Her older brother Chris is a graduating senior and younger sister Taylor is a freshman and a fellow teammate. Before BC, Burgart raced for Holimont Ski Team in N.Y.
Campbell ended the season in the number two slot for the men's team with 24 team EISA points. Campbell `s season is distinguished with a seventh place finish in the UConn Carnival Slalom and a 35th place finish in the Williams Carnival Slalom, his best EISA finish. Campbell is an environmental geosciences major from Sunapee, N.H. Before BC he raced for Proctor Academy in Andover, N.H.
