Skiing Competes at Middlebury Carnival

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. -
The Boston College Ski Team traveled to Middlebury, Vermont this past weekend to compete in the Middlebury Carnival. The team raced Giant Slalom on Feb. 16 and Slalom on Feb. 17. The conditions at Middlebury were great for skiing. Middlebury will be the site for the 2013 NCAA Skiing Championships this March.
On Friday's Giant Slalom, the Women's team was lead by Senior Alexandra Boit, who finished in 34th-place. Behind Alexandra were Senior Kelly Burgart, and Sophomore Taylor Burgart, who came in 42nd-place and 43rd-place respectively. Sophomores Shannon Quinn and Michelle Solomon did not finish their first run. The Men were lead by Freshman Chase Ryan, who placed 15th overall. Behind Chase was Fellow Freshman Chris Keating, who came in 32nd-place. Senior Stacey Bolger and Junior Derek Zucco did not finish their first run.
On Saturday's Slalom, the Women were lead by Katie Cutting, who finished in 29th-place. Behind Katie were Michelle Solomon and Shannon Quinn, who finished in 49th-place and 50th-place respectively. Kelly and Taylor Burgart were unable to finish their first run. The Men's team was led by Freshman Keith Schuman, who came in 31st-place. Behind Keith was Stacey Bolger in 38th-place, and Chris Keating in 40th place. Chase Ryan was unable to finish his first run.
