The Boston College Ski Team traveled to Crotched Mountain in New Hampshire this past weekend to compete in the St. Anselm Carnival. The team raced Slalom on Feb. 2 and Giant Slalom on Feb. 3. The Eagles competed with nine other colleges and universities, also helping to raise money for cancer awareness.
In Slalom, the Eagles dominated the field. For the Men, Freshmen Chase Ryan and Keith Schuman finished in first and second place respectively. Behind Chase and Keith was Junior Derek Zucco, who finished in sixth-place, Senior Stacey Bolger in eighth-place, Junior Eddie Mele in 14th place, Senior James Campbell in 47th-place, and Senior Geofrey Ochs in 49th-place. On the Women's side, Senior Kelly Burgart, and Junior Katie Cutting finished in second and third-place respectively. Behind Kelly and Katie was Sophomore Shannon Quinn in fifth-place, Sophomores Taylor Burgart, and Michelle Solomon in eighth and ninth-place respectively, Senior Alexandra Boit in tenth-place, and Sophomore Paige kozlowski in 29th-place. Sophomores Claire Hodson and Emily Starer were unable to finish their first run.
In Giant Slalom, the Eagles again dominated competition. For the Men, Chase Ryan

finished in first and second-place for the second straight day, this time finishing within just a one-hundredth of a second of each other, a rare event in skiing. Behind Chase and Keith was Eddie Mele
in eighth-place, Same Doro in tenth-place, Stacey Bolger
in 12th-place, James Campbell
in 22nd-place, and Geofrey Ochs
in 38th-place. Derek Zucco
was unable to finish his first fun. For the women, Taylor Burgart
led the Eagles to a second-place finish. Behind Taylor was Shannon Quinn
in sixth-place, Michelle Solomon
in seventh-place, Alexandra Boit
in ninth place, Katie Cutting
in 16th-place, and Emily Starer
in 18th-place. Taylor Burgart
was unable to finish her first run; Paige kozlowski
