This was another busy weekend for the Boston College Eagles Alpine Ski Team. There was regular collegiate competition at the Dartmouth Carnival hosted by Dartmouth Skiway and BC was lucky enough to qualify two racers to the Nor Am Series. Senior captain Katie Cutting raced the women's slalom at Sunday River, ME, and sophomore Chase Ryan skied the giant slalom at Stowe, VT. The Nor Am racers also attended the Dartmouth Carnival, making competition extremely stiff. Both Katie and Chase held their own and did a great job at representing Boston College.

At the Dartmouth Carnival, for the men's ski team sophomore Chase Ryan led the teams with a 26th place finish overall with two consistent runs only .1 seconds in time difference in the giant slalom. Unfortunately, some of the members of the team struggled to stay on their feet that day. For the Women's giant slalom, junior Taylor Burgart lead the way having a great day for herself with a 46th place finish in a difficult field of racers. Additionally for the women, junior Christie Choma skied in her first carnival. For the second day of racing, the Eagles faced tough competition in the slalom. For the men, Chase Ryan lead the way with a 30th place finish. For the girls, senior captain Katie Cutting had two solid runs, coming in 36th place overall. Next weekend the BC alpine ski team will travel to Jiminy Peak in Hancock, MA for the Williams Carnival.
