Austin, TX -
Boston College senior Annie Haeger was named an All-American for the fourth consecutive year on Saturday night at a function held after the competition in Austin, Texas. Haeger had helped the women's team win the ICSA National Championship earlier in the day, the first women's title since May 2008.
Haeger was also a finalist for the Sailor Of The Year Award. She lost to Georgetown's Sydney Bolger. Haeger achieved this honor last year after a stellar 2010-2011 season. The Lake Forest, Illinois native, spent the majority of this year sailing for Boston College in coed regattas. Haeger is a four-time ICSA Women's All-American skipper and an ICSA Honorable Mention skipper. She was also named to the 2012 U.S. Sailing Olympic Development Team for the Women's 470 Class. Haeger, who was recently named BC's Eagle of the Year, graduated this May from the Carroll School of Management with a degree in marketing.
