Sailors Successful In Miami

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Boston College sailing team has placed four athletes on the 2014 US National team. The Eagles sailed in the 470M, 470W, Laser Radio and Nacra 17 class in Miami this past week.
The tandem of Annie Haeger and Briana Provancha finished fifth overall in the women's 470 Class to make the US team. The two Eagle graduates are ranked No. 1 in the US Women's 470 team and fourth in the world. Haeger '12 was the 2012 Eagle of the Year, while Provancha graduated in 2012 and was an All-American at BC.
Current BC sophomore Erika Reineke placed ninth overall in the Laser Radial Class to make the team. This is the second consecutive year in which Reineke is a member of the team. She is a 2-time youth world champion in the Laser Radial Class. In November, Reineke won the National Single-Handed Championship for the second consecutive year.
Adam Roberts `09 made the team by placing 22nd overall and the second American to place in the men's 470 Class. Roberts just missed making the 2012 team and was a member of the 2006 and the 2009-2011 US Sailing team.
