Sailing Placed Second At The Reed Trophy Regatta

The Boston College sailing team placed second at the Reed Trophy this past weekend in Connecticut. The conference championship regatta was hosted by Coast Guard on April 19 and 20. The Eagles scored 173 total points as the eventual winner, Yale, had 155 points. Dartmouth was third with 202 points.
The Eagles A Division team of Erika Reineke, Elizabeth Barnard and Kaitlin Driscoll placed second with 83 points as Yale finished in first with 66 points. The B Division team of Carolyn Naughton, Katherine Downey and Emily Schalka had 90 points and finished second to Yale, which had 89 points.
In other sailing news, Erika Reineke and Beth Barnard were named to the NEISA first team skipper and Elizabeth Barnard was named to the NEISA first team crews. Reineke was one of four finalists for the Sailor of the Year.
Next week the Eagles will compete in the NEISA Coed Conference Championships hosted by Yale as well as the Brian Doyle Open hosted by Dartmouth.
