Athletic Alumni Club Re-Elected 53rd President
Chestnut Hill, MA: Richard P. Ramirez '76 (football) has been re-elected the 53rd President of the Boston College Varsity Club. The former linebacker is a graduate of the Carroll School of Management, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.
In addition to his efforts at the Varsity Club, where he served as 1st Vice President (2007-2011), he is a member of the Football Alumni Resource Group (FARG), an association of former football players that provide mentoring for current and recent student athletes. He has also served on numerous Reunion Committees for his class at Boston College.
Richard is a senior executive with experience in media businesses and venture capital back companies. He has directed the development, launch and or management of businesses in online Video, online Music, consumer marketing, traffic information and logistics and Distance Learning. His work extends from traditional media giants to an extensive early stage and start-up venture experience.
A native of New York City, Richard resides in Natick, MA with his wife, Carol and their two children.
