BC Falls In First Of Two Against Villanova

BOCA RATON,FLA-- Boston College lost to Villanova 5-0 on Saturday evening. The Eagles go to 7-7 on the season while the Wildcats improve to 6-8.Â
Villanova was able to take a 3-0 lead after a three run home run from Ryan Henry. Their defense also played well in this one, Kat Gallant pitched a complete game and allowed only two hits and had four strikeouts as well.Â
Then in the bottom of the sixth inning, it was Ryan Henry once again going yard to give the Wildcats a a 5-0 lead to seal the game.Â
Freshman pitcher Halie Pappion got the start for BC, she pitched 5.1 innings and had nine strikeouts in 22 total at bats.Â
BC Softball will finish out their weekend tomorrow with a rematch against Villanova at 11:30 AM EST.Â
