Eagles Take Third In Season Opener At Turning Stone

Naumec, Cavaliere lead Eagles
VERONA, N.Y. – Junior Matthew Naumec (T8, +5) and sophomore Christian Cavaliere (11th, +7) led the Boston College men's golf team to a third-place finish at the Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate, held at the Kaluhyat Course at Turning Stone Resort Casino.

BC HIGHLIGHTS
- Boston College finished third in the field in par 5 scoring (+2) and pars made (157).
- Naumec paced the way for the Eagles with his T8 finish. After a first round 80, he turned in scores of -2 and -1 to close out the weekend.
- He was third in the field on par 3s (-1) and pars (36).
- Cavaliere placed in 11th with his best score coming on the final day at +1. He finished the tournament -1 on the par 5s and also had 36 pars.
- Graduate student Tyler Kertson turned in a T18 performance in his BC debut, carding a +12 (75-78-75—228). He was eighth in the field in par 5 scoring (-2) which led the Eagles.
- Sophomore Brendan Ridge finished at T41 with a score of +22 (82-78-78—238) while freshman Kevin Paek came in at T66 with a +31 (85-76-86—247) in his collegiate debut.
- Junior Tyler Hatton, senior Jack Cammisa, freshman Brandon Kewalramani and senior Patrick Hallisey all competed as individuals.
