HOW IT HAPPENED
- Georgia Tech's Draven Sonnon hit a solo home run to give the Yellow Jackets a 1-0 lead in the top of the seventh. However, BC kept Georgia Tech from scoring again until the seventh.
- BC took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the second. DiEmmanuele beat out the throw from short for an infield single. She stole second. Then sophomore Allyson Moore reached on a bunt, pushing DiEmmanuele to third. Trevino walked to load the bases. With Thomas at bat, Georgia Tech pitcher Emily Anderson threw a wild pitch that scored DiEmmanuele and advanced the runners. Thomas singled up the left side to score Moore.
- The Eagles assumed a 3-1 lead in the fourth. Trevino singled and advanced to second on a groundout. Freshman Brenna Griesser pinch ran. Coroneos scorched a single to right center to bring Griesser home.

Trevino singled to left to score Cortez and make it 4-1. Thomas grounded out to short but plated Chimento to make it 5-1. Then Coroneos singled to the pitcher, allowing DiEmmanuele to score.
- Chimento belted a solo shot in the sixth to increase BC's lead to 7-1.
- DiEmmanuele followed with a single, advancing to second off the pitcher's throwing error. Moore hit a bloop single down the right-field line to score DiEmmanuele and make it 8-1.
