BC CONCLUDES ROAD TRIP AT #19/18 LOUISVILLE
• Boston College will complete its three-game road trip at #19/18 Louisville on Saturday at noon.
• The game will be televised by ACC Network/TV38 and can be heard on the radio on WEEI 850 AM and bceagles.com.
• Boston College has lost its first nine conference matchups, most recently losing at #9/9 Virginia, 61-47.
• Louisville has won five of its last six games and beat #2/1 North Carolina on Monday night, 71-65.
• This will be BC's first trip to Louisville since 1997 when radio analyst Danya Abrams was a senior captain.
• The Cardinals are 14-1 at the KFC Yum! Center. BC is 0-6 on the road.
EAGLES FALL AT #9/9 VIRGINIA
• Freshman Sammy Barnes-Thompkins scored a team and season-high 14 points as Boston College lost at #9/9 Virginia Wednesday night, 61-47.
• Barnes-Thompkins went 4-for-8 from beyond the arc and had 12 points in the first half.
• Junior Garland Owens finished with eight points and three rebounds.
• Graduate student Eli Carter and senior Dennis Clifford both had seven points and six rebounds.
• Barnes-Thompkins hit consecutive 3-pointers to cut the Boston College deficit to 16-15 at the 8:49 mark.
• Virginia responded with seven unanswered points to push its lead back to 23-15 with 5:56 left and took a 29-20 lead into halftime.
• The Cavaliers led, 37-28, and then scored nine unanswered points to build it up to 46-28 at the 12:42 mark.
• Boston College scored the last 11 points of the game in the last four minutes.
LAST TIME vs. LOUISVILLE
• Aaron Brown scored a game-high 28 points as Boston College lost to #10/9 Louisville, 81-72, on Janurary 28, 2015 at Conte Forum.
• Brown was 5-for-12 from beyond the arc.Â
• Patrick Heckmann recorded 14 points, five rebounds and five assists.
• Olivier Hanlan had 11 points and matched a career high with nine assists.
• The two teams traded matching 8-2 runs to start the game with Louisville's coming first. Brown had five of the points in the BC run.
• The Cardinals were on top, 21-20, and then scored eight unanswered to build a nine-point lead with 7:08 left in the half.
• BC responded with a 9-2 run, hitting three 3-pointers, to cut the deficit to 31-29.
• The Eagles trailed at the half, 35-33.
• Louisville built its lead to 45-37 but a quick 5-0 spurt by the Eagles brought it to within three with 12:39 remaining.
• The Cardinals stretched the lead back to 59-49 but BC battled back again with eight unanswered points to pull within two at the 6:48 mark. Heckmann had five of the points.
• A 9-4 Louisville stretch after that put the lead at 68-61 with 3:29 left and BC could only get as close as five points the rest of the way.Â
