Meehan, Dowd Named To All-ACC Team

Senior forwards McKenzie Meehan and Hayley Dowd were named to the 2016 All-ACC team, announced by the league office on Thursday afternoon.

Meehan was named to the All-ACC first team for the second time in her career. A native of Glocester, Rhode Island, Meehan led the team in points (26) and goals scored (12). She tied in first for goals scored in the ACC and is third in points scored in the conference in just 18 games played. Meehan is BC's all-time leader in goals (58), points (124) and game-winning-goals (18).

A 2015 graduate of Boston College, Meehan will earn her MBA from The Heights in May of 2017.

Dowd was named to the second team for the second consecutive season. A native of Peabody, Dowd is the team's second leading scorer with seven goals, three assists for 17 points. She is second in program history in goals scored with 39, seventh in points scored (90) and third in game-winning-goals (14).

Dowd will graduate in May of 2017 with a degree in communications.
