The Maroon and Gold fell to the Wolfpack in four sets on Sunday.

BC HIGHLIGHTS
- Junior Sol Calvete notched a double-double for the Eagles against the Wolfpack, tallying a team-high 11 kills and adding on 15 digs.
- Freshman Jill Strockis had another strong match, tying Calvete for the team high in kills with 11, and also added on 8 digs of her own.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1
The Wolfpack got out to an early 9-3 lead that forced the Eagles to call timeout. A 5-0 extended State's lead to 15-5. BC could not win more than two points in a row, as NC State won the set 25-14.
Set 2
The Eagles were the ones to take the lead at the start, going ahead 8-5, but the Wolfpack tied it at 8 and later embarked on a 5-0 run that gave them a 14-10 lead. The Eagles fought back to regain the lead at 19-18, but NC State won 6 of the last 7 points to win 25-21.
Set 3
BC won three straight points to grab an early 6-4 lead, then tacked on three more to extend the lead to 9-5. The Eagles lead by as many as 8 points at 22-14, and the Wolfpack staged a late rally to get within 4 at 22-18, but the Maroon and Gold held on for the 25-19 victory.
Set 4
Back-to-back aces from senior Madisen Lydon extended the Eagles' early lead to 7-2. NC State didn't give up, though, and came back within one point at 13-12. After BC extended its lead again to 16-12, the Wolfpack went on to win the next four points to tie it at 16. The teams kept exchanging points for the rest of the set, and NC State fended off a BC set point and won the following to points to win the set 27-25 and take the match as well.

The Eagles return home to the Heights next weekend for matches against Duke (Friday, 7:30 p.m.) and Wake Forest (Sunday, noon).
