Boston College Leads the Way on NHL Opening Night

Once again, Boston College has the most players on active rosters for the start of the 2016-17 NHL season
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College hockey program can once again boast having the most players on active rosters for the start of the 2016-17 NHL season with 17 skaters.
Three former Eagles will make their NHL opening night debuts, including the New Jersey Devils' Miles Wood and Steve Santini alongside the Washington Capitals' Zach Sanford. Both Wood and Santini played in New Jersey's final game last season while Sanford will make his debut Wednesday night in Pittsburgh.
Both Wisconsin and Michigan also have 17 former student-athletes on NHL rosters, but that includes players on injured reserve (one for Michigan and three for Wisconsin).
The full list of Eagles set to take the ice on the NHL's opening night is as follows:

At the end of the 2015-16 NHL ledger, Boston College had 23 former Eagles skater at the NHL level, which also stood as the most in all of college hockey last season.
