West Lafayette, Indiana – Senior Nicole Boudreau hit a three-pointer with 7.4 seconds left in the game to give Boston College at 58-56 victory over Purdue at Mackey Arena in the 2015 Big Ten-ACC Challenge on Thursday night. BC is now 6-1, while Purdue drops to 5-2.

Turning Point
- With 7.4 seconds to play Kelly Hughes found Nicole Boudreau. Boudreau didn't hesitate and hit the shot at the top of the key to give BC a, 58-56, lead.
- BC took an early 8-2 lead behind four points apiece from both Kelly Hughes and Mariella Fasoula. The Boilermakers cut the lead to three points on a 5-2 run. Turnovers and fouls hurt BC in the final minutes of the quarter as it ended – BC 14, Purdue 12.
- The Eagles opened up on a 7-0 run to push the lead to 21-12. The lead grew to 14 points as Fasoula hit two straight buckets, followed by a jumper by Hughes. With just under four minutes to play, Purdue outscored BC, 7-3, as the Eagles were plagued by turnovers. BC led, 30-25, at the half.
- The Eagles opened the third quarter with a three-pointer from Hughes and went up 36-27 on a layup by Boudreau with 7:12 to play. Purdue went on a 7-2 run to tied the game, 40-40, with two minutes to play. A Boudreau three-pointer gave BC a 45-43.
- Purdue took the lead for the first time in the game at 5:53 in the quarter on a three-pointer from April Wilson. Fasoula responded with her 17th point of the night. A jumper by Wilson gave Purdue a one-point lead with 4:06 to play.
- Purdue's April Wilson scored nine points in the quarter including a jumper at the buzzer to give the Boilermakers a 56-55 lead. BC came out but a loose ball landed in the hands of Hughes who found Boudreau for the winning basket. Wilson had 7.4 seconds to try and win the game for the home team but BC's defenders – Alexa Coulombe, Kailey Edwards and Marti Mosetti – tracked her and forced her into a tough shot at the buzzer.
- Boston College started Mariella Fasoula for the third consecutive game along with Nicole Boudreau, Marti Mosetti, Kelly Hughes and Ella Awobajo.
- BC shot 67 percent in the first half behind Mariella Fasoula's 6-for-7 from inside the paint and Kelly Hughes hitting 3-for-3 from the floor.
- Purdue defended the three-pointer well in the first half as the Eagles took only five long-range shots. Kailey Edwards and Marti Mosetti both hit a three in the second quarter. The Eagles hit 3-for-10 in the second half, including two by Boudreau.
- Boston College shot 53 percent from the floor in the game. Fasoula was 11-for-15 from the floor.
- The Eagles lost the battle of the boards, 27-25, despite nine from Fasoula.
The Eagles will host Hartford on Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. Fans can purchase tickets at the gate.
