establishing him as the Eagles' winningest football coach.
- New England "Coach of the Year" in 1971 as BC finished 9-2.
- Head Coach in the East-West Shrine Game (1976) and Blue-Gray
Classic (1977 and 1978).
- Head Football Coach at University of New Hampshire (1966-
1967) and Dartmouth College (1978-1986).
- Awarded special citation from Football Writers Association
of America "for his long and honorable career in college
athletics and for his contribution to football."
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall
of Fame in 2000.
