Jim Whalen '65
- One of the finest receivers in Boston College football
history, this gifted tight end caught 73 passes for 1,230
yards and 11 touchdowns during his fine varsity career.
- Selected to every major All-East team after both his junior
and senior seasons, he also was selected to play in the 1965
Senior Bowl and East-West Shrine Game.
- Also earned letters in baseball and hockey during his tenure
at Boston College.
- Following graduation, he was a two-time All-Pro receiver for
the Boston Patriots. He also played professional football
for the Denver Broncos and Philadelphia Eagles.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall
of Fame in 1995.
