Al Weston '29
- An All-America football player, he was the finest running
quarterback of his era. He was a key player on the
undefeated 1928 Eagle team that won the Eastern Football
Championship.
- In baseball, he was a slugging first-baseman who hit
over .400 for his varsity career. His .465 batting average
in 1928 was the highest of all Eastern college players. He
later played professional baseball with the Boston Braves.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall
of Fame in 1970.
