BILL TOOF `69
-As an undergraduate, he was twice Eastern Collegiate Ski
Conference Champion (1967 and 1968) and earned All-ECSC
honors in each of his four varsity seasons. In 1966, he
was among the top finishers in the North American Alpine
Championships slalom competition.
-While leading the BC team in scoring during four varsity
campaigns, he set records for most career race wins (14);
most regular-season points (249 of a possible 250); and
most career points (810).
-As BC's head coach from 1970 through 1999, his teams won
16 ECSC Championships. Coach Toof's men's team made 20
consecutive appearances in the National Championships and
the women's team qualified for Nationals 18 consecutive
times - both USCSA records.
-He coached three individual National Champions and more
than 40 All-America skiers during his highly-successful
career.
