Tony Thurman '85
- A consensus All-America defensive back in 1984, he led the
nation with 12 pass interceptions and played a key role as
the Eagles soared to a 10-2 record and high national
ranking.
- His 25 career interceptions established a Boston College
football standard at the time.
- Twice was an All-East selection.
- Was a starting defensive stalwart for three Boston College
Bowl teams: Tangerine Bowl (1982), Liberty Bowl (1983), and
the 1985 Cotton Bowl Champions.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall
of Fame in 1992.
