Kathleen Sweet '87
- Tall and talented, she was the first dominating pivot
player in the history of Boston College Women's
Basketball, achieving the twin benchmarks of 1006
career points and 597 career rebounds.
- A member of the Big East Conference "All-Rookie
Team" as a freshman, she followed with All-
Conference honors in her junior and senior seasons.
A team captain and gifted player, she played a key
role as the Eagles reached their first Big East
Championship Game during the 1987 Conference
Tournament.
- Excelling in the classroom as well as on the court, she
was named Big East's "Scholar-Athlete of the Year" as
a senior.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic
Hall of Fame in 2004.
