Fred Steinfort '76
- A highly-accurate and long distance placekicker, he set a
Boston College football scoring record with 215 points in
his splendid varsity career.
- Scored the longest field goal in Eagle football history with
a successful 55-yard kick vs. Tulane in 1974.
- Kicked a school record 119 extra points in addition to 32
field goals.
- Originally drafted by the NFL’s Oakland Raiders, he also
played professional football for the Atlanta Falcons, Denver
Broncos, and the New England Patriots.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall
of Fame in 1994.
