Art Spinney '50
- A four-year starter at end, he was captain of the 1949
Eagles' football team.
- Twice earned All-New England honors for his spirited play as
blocker and pass receiver.
- His 24 pass receptions in 1948 established a Boston College
season record at the time.
- Following graduation, he enjoyed an outstanding career with
the National Football League's Baltimore Colts, where he
earned numerous All-Pro accolades.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall
of Fame in 1972.
