Junior Shayra Brown discusses offseason workouts and provides insight on the new coaching staff
Thomas Shruhan is a member of the Boston College strength and conditioning staff. He twice served as an academic intern for the Eagles, before being hired as a full-time strength and conditioning intern in May 2006 and then as a full-time assistant coach in June 2008.
Shruhan serves as the strength and conditioning coach for women's basketball, field hockey, men's and women's alpine skiing, women's rowing, and women's lacrosse. He also assists with men's basketball, men's and women's ice hockey, baseball, softball and 17 other varsity Olympic sports.
A graduate of Springfield College in 2006, Shruhan received his bachelor's degree in exercise physiology with a minor in nutrition. Shruhan played outside linebacker on the Springfield College football team for four seasons. Also while at Springfield, Shruhan served briefly as an academic intern in 2004 at Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning.
Shruhan also received his master's degree from Boston College in administrative studies May 2008. He is also a USA Level-1 Weightlifting Certified Club Coach and American Heart Association AED/CPR certified.
