Rev. Joseph L. Shea, S.J., '40
- Gifted administrator, trusted advisor, and caring friend to
thousands of Boston College student-athletes, alumni, and
fans.
- "Father Joe" dedicated his life to the
University's pursuit of excellence in every spiritual,
academic, and athletic endeavor. His patience, kindness, and
concern for others made him a shining example of the highest
values of intercollegiate athletics and Jesuit higher
education.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall
of Fame in 1986.
