Nine Athletes to be Inducted into the BC Varsity Club Hall of Fame

Honorees will be feted on September 7

Casey Schmidt '03

- Three times a Regional All-America selection and All-BIG EAST choice, this highly-decorated forward set a record for career goals (35) and is among the school's all-time leaders with 82 career points.

- He started his varsity career with a bang: leading the BC team with 11 goals and winning BIG EAST All-Rookie honors. As a sophomore in 1999, was chosen BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year.

- Schmidt capped his highly-successful collegiate career by winning the Nathaniel J. Hasenfus "Eagle of the Year" Award as the outstanding male student-athlete in his graduating class.

- After graduation, he played professional soccer for the Colorado Rapids (Major League Soccer).

- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Hall of Fame in 2012.
