Joy Ramsbotham '99
- A three-time All-America field hockey player at Boston
College (1996-98) and member of the U.S. National
(1998) and U.S. Junior National (1996 and 1997)
squads.
- An accomplished defender, she was twice selected Big
East Conference "Defensive Player of the Year" (1997
and 1998), and named to the All-Conference team
three times.
- An equally gifted scorer, she tallied 41 goals and 18
assists (100 points) in her varsity career.
- Boston College's field hockey team won 53 games
during her four varsity seasons, capturing the 1997 Big
East Tournament title and the 1998 regular-season
conference championship. The Eagles qualified for the
NCAA Championship Tournament in both years and
were ranked No. 8 in the nation in her senior season.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic
Hall of Fame in 2005.
