Fordie H. Pitts, Jr. '56
- The first golfer inducted into the Varsity Club Athletic
Hall of Fame, he has had a long and distinguished career on
the links.
- He was team captain as a senior and earned medalist and
runner-up honors in the New England Intercollegiate
Championships.
- Following graduation, he continued his excellence in amateur
golf, qualifying for the U.S. Amateur Championship numerous
times and winning a host of state and regional titles.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall
of Fame in 1982.
