Vic Palladino '48
- In 1947, he was the first recipient of the prestigious
Thomas F. Scanlan Award given to the senior football player
who best exemplifies the ideals of Thomas Scanlan: Scholar,
Athlete, Gentleman, and Friend.
- An outstanding guard, he was named to the Catholic All-
America, All-East, and All-New England teams.
- As a sophomore, he was a major contributor to Boston
College's successful 1942 season which was capped by the
team's appearance in the 1943 Orange Bowl against Alabama.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall
of Fame in 1995.
