Tom O'Toole'52
- A sharp-shooting guard, deft passer, and tenacious player,
O'Toole was a principle weapon on the teams of Al McClellan
that placed Boston College at the forefront of the Eastern
collegiate basketball scene.
- O'Toole scored 703 points in his three-year varsity career,
averaging 10.3 points per game. As a senior captain, Tom
helped boost the Eagles to a 22-5 record - still one of the
best records ever at BC.
- His final game was a 64-61 upset of Holy Cross in which he
tallied a game-high 23 points and ended his career to a
thunderous standing ovation.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall
of Fame in 1977.
