Msgr. Bernard O'Kane '09
- A talented and versatile athlete, he was elected captain of
three teams (track, baseball, and basketball) during his
varsity career.
- He scored countless victories as a middle distance and relay
runner and helped earn national recognition for Boston
College track.
- An excellent defensive left fielder and hard-hitting batter,
he played a prominent role in the Eagles' earliest baseball
success.
- Captain and key contributor to Boston College's original
basketball teams.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall
of Fame in 1973.
