Julie Obear '95
- Winner of the 1995 Nathaniel J. Hasenfus "Eagle of the Year"
Award as outstanding female student-athlete in the Class of
1995.
- A three-time All-America selection in field hockey, she
scored the winning goal in the 1994 BIG EAST Championship
game, earning BC its first NCAA Tournament berth. She
tallied 34 goals and 93 points during her varsity field
hockey career and was the team's top scorer for three
seasons.
- A First Team All-BIG EAST softball outfielder, she
batted .304 and led the Eagles in hits (51) and runs (37) as
a senior.
- An Academic All-American, BIG EAST Academic All-Star, and
winner of a prestigious NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall
of Fame in 2000.
