William H. Norris '67
- A specialist in the steeplechase, he utilized his famous
closing charge to win the IC4A championship in this grueling
event for three consecutive years.
- Also won Greater Boston and New England titles in the two-
mile run.
- Competed in the 1968 U.S. Olympic Trials in steeplechase and
the 1972 Olympic Trials in the marathon. As a member of the
U.S. Army Track Team, he represented his country in the 1969
and 1970 World Cross-Country championships.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall
of Fame in 1985.
