Lou Montgomery '41
- An exciting and elusive running back, he was a major
offensive contributor to the Boston College teams that won
19 of 20 regular season games in his junior and senior
seasons and earned invitations to the 1940 Cotton Bowl and
1941 Sugar Bowl.
- Tragically, because of the segregation laws of the day, he
was not allowed to participate in either post-season game.
His undaunted spirit and unwavering support of his teammates
in those games made him a "Champion" in every sense of the
word.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall
of Fame in 1997.
