Sean McGowan '99
- A slugging first baseman, he hit for average (.402) and power (53 home runs) in his spectacular varsity career.
- Established Boston College baseball standards for home runs (25 season; 53 career) runs batted in (70 season; 184 career); hits (208 career); and batting average (.402 career). He had nine multiple home-run games and 56 multiple-hit games for the Eagle nine.
- Earned All-America, All-Big East Conference and All-New England honors in recognition of his baseball prowess.
- After graduation, played professional baseball in the San Francisco Giants organization.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall of Fame in 2007.
