Sean McGehearty '97
- A four-time All-America selection who was honored for two consecutive years (1996-1997) in both the 35-lb. weight and hammer throw.
- Was the 1997 NCAA champion in the 35-lb. weight throw; won the 1997 Big East championship in both the 35-lb. weight and hammer throw.
- Holds the BC record in the 35-lb. weight throw with 72 feet, 10 inches.
- Earned GTE Academic All-America accolades in 1997.
- 1996-97 co-recipient of the 1997 Eagle of the Year Award; shared the honor with his brother Mark.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall of Fame in 2006.
