Frank "Monk" Maznicki '43
- A hard-running and dependable halfback on Boston College's
1940 Cotton Bowl team and 1941 Sugar Bowl squad.
- Earned All-America honors in 1941 for his marvelous running,
pass-catching, and kicking skills.
- Also a fine baseball player who contributed to the Eagles'
success on the diamond.
- After graduation, played professional football with the
National Football League's Chicago Bears.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall
of Fame in 1971.
