Jack Kvancz'68
- In the height of Bob Cousy's reign as the Boston College
basketball coach in the mid to late 1960s, Jack combined
with Billy Evans to form one of the top one-two guard combos
in the nation.
- During his three varsity seasons, Kvancz and the Eagles made
two trips to the NCAA Tournament and one to the NIT. After
his senior season, he earned the Bob Cousy Award as the top
player in New England under six feet in height.
- After graduation, Kvancz went on to become head coach and
later athletics director at Catholic University as well as
the athletic director at George Mason and George Washington.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall
of Fame in 1984.
