Hon. Ed King '48
- An inspiring offensive and defensive tackle, he was a
driving force behind the success of the Eagles' post-war
football teams.
- Earned varsity letters as a catcher for the Boston College
baseball team.
- After a professional football career with the Buffalo Bills
and Baltimore Colts, he served his home state as Director of
the Massachusetts Port Authority and Governor of the
Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall
of Fame in 1990.
