Jim Kavanaugh '68
- An outstanding and versatile athlete, he won the 1968 NCAA
hammer throw championsip and set Boston College records in
the shot put, pole vault, discus, and decathlon at the time
of his graduation.
- Captain of the Track team in his senior season.
- A fine pass receiver in football, he had 44 receptions in
his two (1966-67) varsity seasons.
- Has continued to enhance intercollegiate athletics as Head
Coach of Track at the College of the Holy Cross.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall
of Fame in 1974.
