Byron Hemingway '77
- Inaugural winner of the Nathaniel J. Hasenfus "Eagle of the
Year" Award as outstanding athlete in his graduating class.
It is the University's highest athletic honor.
- A fearsome defensive end, he was an All-East selection and
four-year starter in football.
- A record-setting high hurdle and relay champion, he won
numerous New England track titles and qualified for the
prestigious IC4A Championships.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall
of Fame in 2000.
