John Harrington '57
- This product of St. Thomas Aquinas' parish in Jamaica
Plain earned his Bachelor's Degree from Boston College in
1957 and added an MBA in 1966.
- Went on to become Chief Executive Officer of the Boston Red
Sox and also the Executive Director and Trustee of the Yawkey
Foundation, which supports numerous humanitarian, cultural,
educational, and athletic endeavors.
- He also became a director of the Baseball Hall of Fame in
Cooperstown, the Fleet Bank, and the New England Sports
Network.
- He became affiliated with numerous charities, including the
Dana Farber Cancer Institute, the Catholic Charitable Bureau,
and Boston College.
- Inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Athletic Hall
of Fame in 1998.
